Tips and avantages

Free bus tickets

Up to 48 hours before your arrival, you’ll receive free public transport tickets for the city of Fribourg by email — including buses and the funicular. Please remember to register in advance to take advantage of this offer!

Stationnement

We provide parking permits valid for 24 hours throughout the city of Fribourg. For easy and convenient parking upon arrival, we recommend parking on Planche-Supérieure directly next to the hotel (0-minute walk).

Explore the area

In the heart of the old town: wander through Fribourg, eat, drink and explore at your own pace. Spending the summer in Fribourg? Don’t forget your swimsuit for a dip in the Motta baths.

Move

Getting around Fribourg is child’s play! A bus stop not far from your hotel will take you to the city centre in four minutes. And if you want to try an eco-friendly mode of transport, take the funicular, which will take you from the Neuveville district to Rue St-Pierre, without emitting any exhaust fumes.

We provide free public transport tickets.

Wander

Did you know that Fribourg is built on a meandering river? At the foot of the hotel, the Sarine whispers to those who walk along its banks. Get closer to nature by strolling along the river paths and the botanical path, and you will discover the other face of Fribourg, between lush forests, dramatic cliffs, and charming riverbanks.

Explore

Do you like a challenge? Then climb the 365 steps leading to the top of the Cathedral. From the top of this 74-metre-high promontory, a breathtaking view awaits you. And if you want to relax after the climb, take a moment to admire the giant sculptures in the Espace Jean Tinguely – Niki de Saint-Phalle, the brainchild of this mythical couple, who were passionate about colour and movement.

Swim

Are you coming to Fribourg in the warm season? Don’t forget your swimming costume to dive into the Motta baths. Nestled at the foot of the cliffs, this swimming pool that everyone loves is the darling of the people of Fribourg, as many of them learned to swim there. In addition to offering an impressive view of the Old Town, its long row of blue cabins gives it a delicious air of yesteryear.

Admission is free for our guests.
